BRIEF DESTINATION INTRODUCTION
The Háj lookout tower is located on the top of the hill of the same name, which reaches an altitude of 631 meters. Its glass-enclosed observation deck at a height of 24 meters offers a panoramic view of the entire Jeseníky Mountains, including landmarks such as Praděd, Králický Sněžník or Bouzov. INFORMATION
More detailed information about the place
The Háj observation tower was first built in 1934, but after a lightning strike in 1953, the original wooden structure was completely destroyed. The new lookout tower, which was inaugurated in 1996, was built according to the design of architects Vladimír Malaska and Ivo Barvíř and faithfully resembles the original Štefánik Tower. The structure is made of wood and stone, which gives it a rustic and natural appearance that blends beautifully into the surrounding nature.
Location description
The lookout tower at Háji offers an incredible view of the city of Šumperk, which is complemented by views of the ridges of Hrubý Jeseník. In good visibility, visitors can also see distant landmarks such as Svatý Kopeček u Olomouce or Bouzov Castle. The observation deck is glazed, which ensures comfort even in windy weather. Around the observation deck there are information signs with descriptions of visible locations, which makes it easier for visitors to orient themselves in the landscape.
