The Jesenicka Regional Museum is located in the water fortress in Jeseník, whose history dates back to the mid-13th century. The original fortification was gradually rebuilt and acquired its current form around 1730. Today, the fortress is home to several permanent exhibitions, including the geological exhibition Earth Time Spiral, the fauna and flora of the Jeseníky Mountains, and the fascinating history of the Jeseníky Mountains. In the underground there is an exhibition dedicated to the witchcraft trials that affected the region in the 17th century.
The museum also manages the birthplace of Vincenc Priessnitz in Jeseník-Lázné, the founder of the local spa. This exhibition is dedicated to both Priessnitz and the development of spa tourism in the Jeseník region.
