Information

Smrk, reaching an altitude of 1276 meters, is the dominant feature of the Moravian-Silesian Beskydy, located between the villages of Ostravice, Čeladná and Staré Hamry. The Smrk massif, formed by layered Godul sandstone, is known for its natural beauty and peaceful environment. At the summit is the Smrk nature reserve, which protects rare species of flora and fauna. In addition to the main peak, the massif also includes lower peaks such as Malý Smrk and Smrček. The John Lennon and Jan Palach memorials, located below the peak, offer visitors a place to reflect and remember significant figures in history.
