Information

Pustevny, named after the hermits who lived here until the end of the 18th century, is famous for its wooden buildings designed by the prominent Slovak architect Dušan Jurkovič. Among the most famous are the Hotel Maměnka and Restaurant Libušín, which was carefully restored after a devastating fire in 2014 and reopened in July 2020. The entire area is managed by the Wallachian Open Air Museum in Rožnov pod Radhoštěm and is a National Cultural Monument.

Another interesting place is the ecological building Brána Pusteven, which provides tourists with an information center and hygienic facilities. In the vicinity there is also an old Wallachian bell tower and the Cyrilka gazebo, from where you can enjoy breathtaking views of the Beskydy Mountains.
