The Tetřev Lookout Tower, located at an altitude of 944 m above sea level, has a rich history dating back to 1924, when it was originally built thanks to the initiative of the KČT Orlová. Originally used as a water reservoir, it has undergone several transformations, including a period when it was used to house livestock. After reconstruction in 2011, it became a tourist attraction with a modern glass observation deck, which offers visitors panoramic views of the picturesque landscape of the Moravian-Silesian Beskydy Mountains.

The Tetřev lookout tower is a popular destination for tourists and cyclists. It is reached by a red tourist trail from Mosty u Jablunkova, which is a convenient route for families and individuals. For hiking enthusiasts, there are several other routes available, including a hike from Horní Lomná along the yellow TZT or from Dolní Lomná along the blue TZT.

Practical information for visitors

The lookout tower is open all year round, with opening hours from 8 am to 9 pm in summer and from 10 am to 3:30 pm in winter. Entrance is free. From the Pod Kyčmolem hotel, you can reach the lookout tower by comfortable car ride in just 30 minutes. Parkingis available at Kamenna chata, but a permit is required. Alternatively, you can park at the bottom station of the main lift Severka ski resort above Dolní Lomná.

We recommend taking comfortable shoes, clothing for all weathers, and plenty of water for the trip. Don't forget sunscreen in the summer, and warm clothes in the winter.
