The Ropice peak is part of the picturesque Moravian-Silesian Beskydy range, stretching from Prašivá to Kalužný vrch. This area is known for its mixed spruce-beech forests and peaceful environment that attracts tourists all year round. At the very top of Ropice you will find a wooden statue of Perun, the Slavic god of thunder, storm and lightning. This statue is a symbol of tolerance and harmony between Czechs, Slovaks and Poles, which gives the place a deep cultural significance.

Ropice is an ideal destination for active visitors who enjoy hiking, cycling or cross-country skiing. The main ridge route is marked in red and offers a cross-country trail in winter. There are various routes available for hikers, for example from the village of Morávka, from the Prašivá peak or from the village of Guty. Cyclists will appreciate the cycle route 6083, which passes through the surrounding forests.

Recommended routes:

• From Morávka: Yellow route to the Velký Lipový crossroads, then the red one to Ropice (approx. 6 km).
• From the village of Řeka: Yellow and green routes to the Ropička crossroads, then the red one to Ropice (approx. 7 km).
• From Guty: Blue route to the Gutské sedlo crossroads, then the yellow one to the crossroads under Javorový and the blue one to Ropice (approx. 9 km).

Ropice offers various activities for families, couples and individuals. Families will appreciate easy walks and picnics in nature, while couples and individuals can take advantage of more challenging hiking trails for longer trips.

From Hotel Pod Kyčmolem you can reach Ropice by car in approximately 40 minutes. Use the route through Morávka, where a large public parking lot is available.

Parking:
A large public parking lot is available in Morávka. In the village of Řeka, there is a small parking lot by the municipal office, 200 meters from the yellow sign.

Accessibility:
The Ropice peak is freely accessible throughout the year. There are no opening hours or entrance fees. We recommend that you bring suitable clothing, footwear and enough water for the trip.
