From Hotel Sněžné you can easily reach the Krkanka reserve by car via Nové Město na Moravě and Žďár nad Sázavou towards Nasavrky. From Nasavrky continue towards Práčov, from where you will reach the reserve area directly. The journey takes approximately 45 minutes and parking is possible near the reserve.

Availability information

The reserve is freely accessible throughout the year. There is no entrance fee to the reserve, however, entry to the Slavická obora, which is connected to Krkanka, is only allowed from June to August.

Recommendations for visitors

When visiting Krkanka, we recommend that you bring sturdy shoes, plenty of water and possibly a map or navigation, as the terrain can be challenging in places. For longer trips, it is advisable to take light refreshments and, in the summer months, sun and insect protection.
