Velké Perničky is made of migmatic gneisses that were prepared from the surrounding rocks by the process of frost weathering in the older Quaternary period. This geologically significant formation consists of three rock blocks stepped along the slope. The highest rock reaches a height of 25 meters and is located at an altitude of 757 m. On the top plateau of the cliff there are eight rock bowls, which are said to have a cult function.
